Subject Purpose

Mathematics is an international language.  It links all other subjects, underpins everything and seeks the truth. Mathematics is the only place where truth and beauty mean the same thing. Without mathematics there would be chaos.

The purpose of mathematics is to find the magic, the problem-solving skills and basic life skills to live such as managing money. Mathematics allows you to function as a human being. It creates logical thinkers, problem solvers and allows us find patterns in and understand the world around us.

Mathematics lets individuals analyse information uniquely and independently. It can be differentiated to support all thinkers to achieve their full potential.
